The Education program is closely linked to the overall mission of the college, as it prepares students for transfer to a four-year institution, reflects the economic needs and opportunities of the Crow Indian reservation, and perpetuates the Crow culture. Little Big Horn College recognizes the need for qualified Crow Indian teachers at schools in and near the Crow reservation, and responds to this need by providing Crow Indian students the opportunity to pursue degrees in education. Students learn the best practices that can be applied in our diverse society, and particular care is given to teach practices that will be effective in educating Native American children. The Education program respects unique learning styles and processes of Crow Indian children, including the traditional learning environment of the family.
